Creative direction & design for shadow-noir folk band The Trashcan Bandits.
This project allowed me to explore the intersection of visual storytelling and music, enhancing my ability to translate complex themes into compelling artwork. The collaboration with the artists not only refined my design skills but also deepened my understanding of how art can evoke emotion and convey a narrative.

The Trashcan Bandits
Description:
The Trashcan Bandits sought a concept album artwork that embodies the themes of fire and dreaminess, reflecting the transformative journey of their album. I developed a visual narrative that captures the essence of the music and its emotional depth.
Goals:
Create impactful album artwork that resonates with the band’s vision and album themes.
Symbolize the journey from beginnings to destruction, using visual elements to evoke emotion.
Incorporate the band's feedback to ensure the artwork reflects their artistic identity.
Scope:
Creative Concept Development
Collaborated with the band to understand their preferences and desired themes for the album cover.
Developed a concept revolving around a timeline of a building in a desolate setting, gradually engulfed in flames from day to night.
Visual Design
Created detailed art in Adobe Photoshop that symbolize the transformative journey depicted in the album, using vibrant colors to reflect emotional highs and lows.
Feedback & Revisions
Presented initial concepts to the band, gathering feedback and making adjustments to ensure alignment with their vision. Engaged in multiple iterations to refine the artwork, ensuring it captured the essence of the music and the band's identity.
